We contact new clients within 24 hours of receiving their referral to schedule an appointment. We offer flexible scheduling with evening and weekend availability to accommodate your needs.
Yes, as a nonprofit organization, we are committed to making therapy accessible. We offer sliding scale fees based on income and have limited pro bono spots available for those in financial need.
Our primary service area is Long Beach, but we also serve Bellflower, Westminster, Seal Beach, Paramount, Compton, Los Alamitos, Downey, and surrounding South Bay/Metro Los Angeles communities.
We use a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach that draws from evidence-based modalities including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), CBT, and mindfulness. Our therapists tailor their methods to each client’s unique needs.
The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy (8-12 sessions), while others may prefer longer-term support. Your therapist will work with you to determine what’s best for your situation.
The first session is an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy and for your therapist to learn about your history and goals. You’ll discuss confidentiality, ask questions, and begin developing a plan for your therapeutic journey.
